I shoot on location at your business, home,  local park, or favorite beach. If you like the studio look, I can bring backgrounds to you. While I frequently shoot on the peninsula and in San Francisco, I am also available for assignments that require more travel. I focus on a range of photography, including family portraits, boudoir,  engagement portrais and headshots. I do not shoot large weddings at this time, but I will shoot destination weddings or weddings with under 80 guests. I only shoot a limited number of weddings each year, however.

My style is more candid than posed, allowing the true smiles/personalities of the people to come through.  I understand that it's stressful to figure out what to wear, have everyone looking presentable and behaving, so as a result I try and keep the session as laid back and stress-free as possible. With two young children of my own, I understand that children are fickle and may not always want to be photographed.  Therefore, I find it works best to let the children warm up and play as they wish. 

Clients are often curious of my background prior to starting this business.  Before starting a family I studied finance in college, was a commercial and investment banker and then worked in the internet for 6 years. I was a photography hobbyist for many years and then took photography and lighting courses prior to starting my business in 2008.

I'm a Canon shooter and shoot with L series telephoto lenses and a variety of prime lenses.

In an effort to help the environment in any way possible, my packaging and marketing materials are printed on recycled paper using eco-friendly printing practices (vegetable inks etc). In addition, I can upload your images to a site from which you can directly download - even more green!
